Our Mission
Welcome to The Bridge Travels!
We're Lily and Ella, two first year students attending university in Scotland. Branching away from the United States, we sought to gain a global education through our travels. As newcomers to the UK this year, the newly accessible ability to travel around Europe allowed for us to embark and explore around Europe. As we traveled more, our extensive planning resulted in the realization that there are few options online for a guide tailored to the needs of younger travelers, especially college students like us. The existing travel sites and blogs were geared for the luxurious, budget-friendly or family-oriented traveler. This glaring gap in the travel realm inspired us to fill the void and create a solution that meets the unique needs of young travelers.
That's why we created The Bridge Travels. The name is a nod to the Swilcan Bridge on the Old Course here in our university town of St Andrews, representing the start of this journey abroad for us. But it's also symbolic of our larger mission to help safely connect students with the world beyond them through travel experiences. Through our website and social media, we're excited to share destination guides, packing pointers for each adventure, and our favorite sights, restaurants and accommodations.
The Bridge is not just about travel though; it is about connection.
